8-22-13 Action:
Call on Obama to Pardon Chelsea Manning!
“There is not a flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people,” wrote historian Howard Zinn, author of A People’s History of the United States. Chelsea Manning included these words in her statement after she was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the "crime" of revealing U.S. government war crimes to the American people and the world. Manning should be honored and celebrated, not imprisoned, for her courageous actions. Please take a moment to sign two petitions asking President Obama to pardon Manning now. The first petition was created by Amnesty International and the second was launched by the Bradley Manning Support Network and veteran whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg.
